PETERSON PROFESSIONAL
Professional drywall installation and finishing, the process begins with hanging drywall sheets, ensuring tight seams and minimal gaps, with screws placed every 12-16 inches for secure attachment. Next, joint tape (paper or mesh) is applied over seams, followed by three coats of joint compound (mud), with each layer feathered out wider than the last for a smooth transition. After the final coat dries, the surface is sanded with 120-220 grit sandpaper or a power sander with dust extraction for a seamless finish. The drywall is then primed using a high-quality drywall primer like a PVA primer to seal the surface and ensure even paint absorption. Finally, two coats of interior paint are applied using a roller, brush, or airless sprayer, leaving a professional, smooth, and durable finish.
